SALARY: £24,898-£31,399 per annum

QRS are currently working on behalf of Peterborough College and are seeking a new Maths Lecturer to join our newly-created online delivery team on a full-time permanent basis. This role has been created to support the success and growth of the college's Digital Maths course.  This course delivers Functional Skills through Google Classroom and Google Meet to 19+ learners who study remotely for a range of levels from Entry Level 1 to Level 2.

The successful candidate will join a high performing team of 35 lecturers who deliver Maths and English at Peterborough College. You will need to work well individually as well as part of a team, and you should be passionate about working with learners to develop their skills. Due to the nature of this position, good IT skills are required as well as the understanding that there may be a need to timetable your contact hours flexibly to include some evening work.  We are looking for a hardworking, committed and reliable individual to join the team.  You will be a self-starter, who can quickly develop a good rapport with a variety of people.

Ideally, you will have experience of Google Classroom, online delivery and the Google Suite.

The successful candidate will demonstrate the qualities to deliver innovative and creative teaching to a variety of levels both online and within our FE College. This is an ideal opportunity for new graduates to develop a career in education, or experienced teachers who will bring knowledge of delivering this subject to a high standard.  A high standard of mathematics is essential, as is a minimum of Level 3 in Maths and a Level 2 in English.

If you have exceptional communication skills and the ability to prioritise and coordinate a challenging workload, this may be the right role for you.

The standard working hours for this role are Monday-Thursday 8:30am-5:00pm and 8:30am-4:30pm on Friday. You may be required to work evenings occasionally.

The College offers many good employment benefits including 30 days holiday entitlement plus Christmas close down (or additional payment for hourly employees), access to the Local Government Pension scheme, and many on-site benefits and facilities, including a gym and on-site nursery.  This position will be based at the Peterborough Park Crescent site.
