JOB TITLE: Performing Arts Lecturer
LOCATION: Stamford, Lincolnshire
SALARY: £21.73 - £25.14 per hour + Statutory holiday pay

QRS are working on behalf of Stamford College within the Cambridgeshire area and are looking for a Performing Arts Lecturer on a part time basis.

The hours will be:

Monday 9:15-16:30 (6 hours teaching)

Wednesday 9:15-16:30pm (6 hours teaching)

Thursday 9:15-16:30pm (2.25 hour teaching)

QRS are looking for someone qualified to degree level or above in Performing Arts.

Teaching spans level 1-4 courses and will involve planning and assessment as well as delivery.

Suitable applicants would have a broad range of skills and possibly be able to teach dance and singing alongside acting.

From time to time it may be necessary for the post holder to work an evening to facilitate shows and open events, this would be paid separately.

Role Responsibilities

  • Develop students’ knowledge and skills in performing arts.
  • Ensure learners are engaged with the subject and prepared for assessment.
  • Use experience and knowledge to organise effective sessions and help students to improve and develop.

The person & qualifications

  • Hold a teaching qualification or working towards one.
  • Hold a relevant degree or equivalent qualifications.
  • Have good organisational and planning skills.
  • Be enthusiastic and have the ability to motivate learners.
